International Conference on Innovative Research in Engineering, Management and Sciences (ICIREMS-2019)
The key objective of this timely and utmost technical extravaganza was to bring innovative ideas, share same thought process, brain storming panel discussions by eminent personalities, research thoughts, challenges & solution presentations during high power session tracks. The events reflected the growing realization and need of research and development activities in every phase of engineering, sciences and management to empower and serve the mankind. This growing quest for alternatives has impelled the research community to look for innovative ideas and solutions. ICREMS 2019 deliberated a technology enabled platform for effective exchange, engagement, empowerment of young talented scholars of our country.
The inaugural ceremony was solemnized with lamp lighting by our Chief Guest Prof A.S Deshpande, Registrar VTU. Followed by, the welcome address rendering by Dean-Academics Dr. CSR Prashanth. The objective of ICREMS2019 was briefed to the eminent gathering by the Organizing Secretary Dr. B. Rajalakshmi, Prof and Head – CSE. Dean – Research and Development by Dr. Gopalakrishnan expounded the Critical role of Research and Development in the innovation process and future capabilities. Our beloved Principal Dr. Manjunatha manifested the importance of innovation in student’s community and its impact on society with his motivational address. He presented the roadmap of ICIREMS and its significance. The release of Conference Proceedings and felicitation was commemorated by the dignitaries. The inaugural ceremony was culminated with Vote of Thanks by Dean – Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Ganesh Prasad.
We are glad to be acquainted with participation of delegates from foreign countries and across our nation. 5 international and 6 national keynote talks were delivered to the research fraternity in various domains of Engineering, Sciences and Management. Two panel discussions happened with a galaxy of top-notch industry experts and academicians. A plethora of quality research papers across the nation were received and we are happy to pronounce that around 250 technical papers were presented in these 3 days at ICIREMS-2019
On Day 1 International Keynote speaker Mr. Carl Broad Bridge, Head of India Operations, ANZ Bank, New Zealand enlightened the crowd. Followed by Ms. Noemi Gil Valeri, Founder Partner, Progen, Weight Management. Spain highlighted the importance of health industry.
A Knowledge inquest panel discussion was showcased by our technical experts on the Role of Industry in Designing Engineering and management Curriculum, with the moderator being Mr. Indushekar BR., Vice President and General Manager, Volvo Group India Pvt Ltd.
Day 2 started off with the International keynote address by Prof. Santoni Fabio, University of Rome, La Sapienza Italy.
Around 200 technical and research work & papers were presented in 7 parallel sessions. To brief through:
Under Machine Intelligence domain, various areas Big data, Data Science, Cloud computing, HCI, Networking in IOT, Intelligent systems were presented.
In the domain of Emerging technologies for smarter and intelligent world, papers included Electric Vehicle Integration, energy resources for portable electronics, Embedded/VLSI applications were presented.
In Modern Technologies and automation arena, advanced safety technologies, assisted and automated driving, Industry 4.0 and digital Manufacturing were showcased.
In Green technologies domain, smart materials, composite construction, computational fluid dynamics were featured.
Agile management, Business sustainability, design thinking were discussed in innovations in Business Management tracks.
Under the broad spectrum of Sciences, Pure mathematics, Analytical and spectroscopic studies, forensic applications nano-materials were presented.
Contemporary innovations in libraries included virtual libraries and ontology, Open source software for social usage, e-learning library service marketing
Biosciences included bio informatics, molecular biology, protein chemistry were included.
Last but not the least, Humanities field includes 21st century learning skills, integration of life skills in common curriculum, mastering soft skills for workplace success, life skills leads to empowerment and employability.
On third day, International speaker Dr. Javeed Ahmed Khan, EEOTC Canada presented his ideas.
Followed by our next eminent speaker, Prof Dusan Radosavljevic, Head Committee of Space, Republic of Serbia enriched our knowledge with space technology and its vision and insights.
Power packed panel discussion was exhibited on the topic New Age Technologies: whether threat to Employment or a pre-requisite for deployment , moderated by Mr. Venkatraman Umakanth, Member Success leader – NASSCOM.
In the epilogue, ICIREMS-2019 was at the cusp of a renaissance of technology and innovation, and collectively we can transform our innovative thoughts to creative products to serve the humanity. In conclusion, ICIREMS-2019 has truly met its objectives to strongest resolve and wish to continue to excel in future.
