The department of CSE organized an Alumni Talk for 4th and 6th semester students on 09/03/2019. Three distinguished alumni were invited to speak on Data Science, Network Security and Entrepreneurship.

Pruthvi Diwakar Hegde was part of the 2011-2015 batch of New Horizon College of Engineering. She was awarded with “Branch topper” award by NHCE for academic excellence. She is working with VMware India for past three and half years. She has worked as mobile application developer and currently working as automation engineer in test. She has worked on interesting enterprise mobile applications and has received “Spotlight Award” for developing and delivering app within a short span. She delivered a talk on “Introduction to Data Science” where she explained the importance of Data Science to students. She also discussed with the students how to pursue higher studies.

Harish T graduated from Dept. of ISE, NHCE in 2010 and was placed with Wipro Technologies as a Project Engineer. Later he quit his job to pursue his Master’s Degree with the Dept. of CSE, NHCE in the year 2012. During his M.Tech, Harish was selected as an intern with EMC Corporations, where he worked for 9 months testing EMC Network Devices like switches, routers and automated some test scripts using selenium. Post his master degree, Harish was absorbed as a Full Time Employee with EMC Corporation and worked there for 4 years as Technical Lead in Network Security and Authentication subject. Harish now works as an Escalation Level 3 Engineer with Forcepoint Technologies dealing with Cyber Security issues. Harish spoke on “Network Security”. Harish also discussed with students how to prepare for M.Tech degree.

Ajay Raghunathanwas part of the Batch 2007 -2011. He started his career as an Analyst at Repucom Pvt Ltd. He later worked in BEL later for 1 year. He then moved to a Digital Marketing agency and worked as SEO Analyst. With multiple freelance projects completed, he started a company, Tettares Software Solutions in Sept 2014. He worked with multiple clients like Big Basket, WhatDoIEat, TextureTouch Pvt Ltd, NisargaShoppe etc. Tettares got merged with Nuveda Learning Pvt Ltd in the year 2017. Ajay has raised an Angel investment, achieving an internal goal of 25 employee count, venturing into multiple domains and working with market leaders. He gave a talk on “Entrepreneurship”.
